Ok, we didn't really buy a zoo, but we did go to one! We are definitely going to go to both the Shanghai and Beijing zoos, but then we found one close by in Nanjing so we took a Saturday to go check it out. From the pictures and reviews online we were prepared to see tiny enclosures and sad conditions but we were happily surprised! The enclosures were the same quality of other zoos that I've been to, plus they had giraffes, hippos, PANDAS, kangaroos, panthers, and other more usual animals.

| China babies are so adorable! These kids don't do it justice, but usually the babies are bundles up in SO MANY LAYERS that they are just wobbly puff bodies. |

| At the zoo, this guy was selling these syrup treats: he would drizzle hot syrup onto a surface in incredible designs then sell them to eat. So awesome! I didn't get one, but I usually like to purchase things when people are using pure talent to create it. |
