I don't remember if I told this but I had decided to go to Ukraine instead of China, but against my better judgement the Lord wanted me in China... so I have been keeping a list of why I'm in China.
1) Gratitude: I've grateful for clean air, clean grass, clean fruit, clean bathrooms, and clean water.
2)Parenting skills: immediate discipline, consistency, reward good behavior, compassion, teach with love
3) Bonding with more girls: I have grown to LOVE the girls I am here with
4)Gospel Sharing opportunities: With my roommate and random foreigners that come
5)Test of gospel diligence: prayer, scripture study, keeping the sabbath holy
6)Realize my love for: mint flavor, chairs that rock, the smell of horses, looser shirts, itineraries, FAMILY!
7) Realize I have all the qualities of a great leader expect decision making
8)Prove I can be confident when lost
9) Encourage me to learn Spanish (now I'm determined!)
10) I'm over any food pickiness
11)You can't judge someone for their public actions or appearance: the people here are awful in public but incredible in person
12) I have to focus more time on family because they are the greatest blessing and precious above anyone else
13) I need to know the doctrine of the church besides just having a testimony
14) for marriage I need to work on being less selfish.
And that is what I've learned thus far!
What to bring to China
